Arneis & Brunello are from our
first litter, the "Fire" litter. During the summer of 2007, we had fires break out all around the Missoula
valley and these boys were born right in the midst of it all. We were prepared to evacuate twice due to the close proximity
of two large fires!
The name Arneis comes from a rare
and unique white Italian wine and the name Brunello comes from a well-known fine red Italian wine. Both boys have earned
their AKC show championship titles and are now retired from the show ring and have begun their quest to earn hunt
test and field trial titles. Arneis is learning to be a skjoring/sled dog - his strength, stride and 24-7 enthusiasm
make him perfect for this wonderful wintertime activity. Brunello has a heat-seeking missile nose for birds like his
mother, Olive, but he has his Auntie Bacca's patience and wonderful search pattern in the field which makes him the perfect
candidate for a future field trial championship title!
