Today at the Reno, Nevada shows, our Moretti-Poppet
son, JoJo, owned by Mary Faeth of Spinfandel Spinoni, earned his new Grand Championship title. Jojo is now GCH Standfast

JH), who was the very first Grand Champion Spinone, his brother, William (GCH Standfast Wild Bill), and sister, Pinole (GCH
Standfast Maverick Queen), making four Grand Champion kids for their ol' man, Moretti, which makes Moretti the #1 Grand Champion

I received a wonderful
surprise in last Thursday's mail - Sugar's stud book certificate from The Kennel Club. This certificate is
also a lifetime invitation to participate at the Crufts Dog Show. Unfortunately, Sugar cannot participate at Crufts
because dogs with docked tails have been banned from showing due to Crufts caving into the demands of crazy animal activists.
Also in the mail was Sugar's 2011 World Show Certificate of her "Excellent" score received by Judge M. TABO
Giovanni Battista of Italy.
If you would like to see Sugar's certificates, they have been posted on her
page on this website.

July 17 & 18, 2011 - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Shows
Christian was paired up again with Moretti
for Juniors at the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho dog shows. On Saturday, July 16th, Christian and Moretti won the open intermediate class and then went on to win Best Junior!
On Sunday, July 17th, Christian and Moretti won the open intermediate class again and then
again went on to win Best Junior!
Per AKC Juniors rankings as of June 30th, Christian and
Moretti are the #1 Spinone Junior! Christian and his Golden Retriever, Louis, are ranked
as the #4 Golden Retriever Junior!
There are more photos of Christian & Moretti on our Standfast
and AKC Juniors page - be sure to check them out!
Tiffany
and Pinole were a team for the first time at the Coeur d'Alene shows and won Best of Breed Spinone both days, July 16 and 17. On Sunday, July 17, the dynamic duo took it
a step further and won a sporting group four placement!
Mallow won his very first points at the Coeur d'Alene shows. It was a very hot weekend, as always in mid-July in Idaho, and it was Mallow's second show ever so he's both hot and nervous in his show photo. But he cowboy'd up and did a good job! We
are very proud of him as he starts his journey towards his show championship title!

June 27, 2011 - New Addition! Tulip!
 Tulip on July 19, 2011
Our newest pack member
is Tulip, Spinfandel Flora's Flowers at Standfast. Tulip was bred by Mary Faeth of Spinfandel Spinoni. Tulip's
mother is Mariah (GCH Spinfandel Mariah's Storm, JH), who was the #1 Spinone last year, 2010, and was the very first Grand
Champion Spinone. Mariah is also a Moretti daughter which makes Tulip a Moretti granddaughter. Tulip's father
is Michael (CH Buonarroti dal Podere Antico, RN, JH, CGC), who was imported from
dal Podere Antico Spinoni in Holland to Mals-About Spinoni in Kentucky, which is where Moretti hails from. Tulip is
quite the little character - very cute and very funny and she knows it! She fit right in with everyone else, but no
wonder - she is family! And you know how Italians are about family!!!!

June 5, 2011 - ISCGB Championship Show - Warwickshire, England

The Italian Spinone Club of Great Britain annual
championship show was on June 5, 2011. Sonia had Sugar entered in the open bitch class, which is a tough class for a
young girl of only 22 months old! In the UK, there are many more older Spinone in the show ring so they have the robust
mature body that a Spinone should have, which we rarely see here in the USA since so many Spinone are no longer in the ring
after two or three years of age. Not only that, but in the UK, the open class is for finished champions as well as open
Spinone who have not earned their show champion title, which means non-titled Spinone in the open class are competing against
finished champions and that's not easy! Our little Sugar pulled off a fifth place in the open bitch class and we
are so proud of her! The other four placements, one through four, were all finished show champions and the third place
bitch was this year's Crufts BOB winner (and also Sugar's auntie)! And the icing on the cake is that the judge was Sig
Claudio De Giuliani of Italy, who has been a dog show judge since the 1970s.

May 28 & 29, 2011 - Spokane, Washington Shows
Christian & Moretti in Juniors with Judge Pluis Davern
Our latest news is that lil' Pinole has earned her Grand Champion
show title at the Spokane, Washington shows over Memorial Day Weekend! Her brother William earned four more points on
his journey for his AKC Bronze Grand Champion Medallion. It was also the debut of Mallow (Standfast Burning Ring of Fire)
and Caper (Standfast Fire & Ice) in the show ring! Both boys have been good ol' Montana dogs for the last almost-four
years yet they were both fabulous in the ring! Moretti was entered in the Juniors ring with our young friend Christian and
they won the class, giving Christian his fourth class win of the year. Christian asked to switch dogs for the next day's Juniors
entry, which we did, and he and Moretti again won their class, giving Christian his fifth class win which gave him his invitation
for Juniors at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship Dog Show! Way to go, Christian & Moretti!
