Am Ch Standfast Goldfly
Sugarfoot has been doing quite well in her new home. Sonia has had her out on the long line in the forest as well as
at many shows. Sugar is still very much a baby, but has been holding her own and placing at every show. Below
are two judge's critiques from recent shows. Windsor
Gundog Society - September 22, 2010: This one-year-old won the class on her head and
her movement. She's very raw and racy at this stage, and would ideally prefer more bone. She meets the breed standard for
a very balanced square shape in profile. This naughty girl was very lively and I think she would liked to have raced around
the ring. When she learns to go at the speed her handler chooses, then she will look more relaxed and more typical on the
move. She moved well enough to win today, and she also held her top line on the move and in the lineup. She has a sweet feminine
expression and a nice long lean head with good length of muzzle. Nice harsh coat, of a good length. Would prefer a longer
tail dock to complete her topline. Muscles developing well in her back legs. Res. Best of Breed. City of Birmingham - September 5, 2010:
Gentle expression
from this most elegant of girlies, head planes good in profile but rather flat on examination. Moved with verve, straight
and true, decent jacket and skin fit for a day in the field. Overall balance good, plenty of time to mature.
