Preservationist breeder of Spinoni Italiani since 2002
I have been a member in good standing with the Spinone Club of America since 2003
I am an AKC Breeder of Merit and AKC Bred-By-Exhibitor Gold & Silver Medallion awardee - the first Spinone breeder to receive both the AKC BBE Silver then Gold Medallion award.
I breed per the American Kennel Club and Italian Kennel Club Spinone Italiano breed standards.
I have health screenings and certifications done on all of my Spinoni through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals per the Spinone Club of America health standard requirements, which encompasses hips, elbows, shoulders, eyes and thyroid.  All Standfast certifications are publicly listed on the OFFA website.
Standfast Spinoni are DNA-tested for Cerebellar Ataxia (CA) and are certified Clear.
I only breed a litter every three years (or longer) in order to know and understand where my lines are going
health-wise, conformation-wise, performance-wise and temperament-wise.  I feel that pumping out
a litter (or more, yikes!) every year is not a good breeding practice in that there is no way for a breeder
to know how their lines are developing, good or bad.
